Michigan winters are unpredictable. Your child’s safety is our main concern.  A closed school is a challenge for Oxford’s working parents.

Here are some of the things we consider before making the decision to close schools…

• Information on road conditions
• Weather predictions that warn us of inclement weather danger
• The amount of snow and ice that has accumulated overnight
• Building conditions–making sure we have electricity and heat

The most important consideration when deciding any school closing is the safety of our students.

Generally, the decision to close schools due to inclement weather is made in the early morning hour
